The high/low cultivation gutter hoisting system is used in suitable VENLO and poly greenhouses. The cultivation gutters hang with brackets from steel cables mounted directly on the winding tubes. During the harvesting of the strawberries the gutters are lowered alternately to the bottom position. The system is driven by a series of coupled GWK DL type worm gearboxes which are in turn driven by a high speed GW motor gearbox.

To achieve optimum utilisation of the cultivation area and optimal strawberry cultivation and working conditions during harvesting, movable cultivation gutters are the solution. For the desired growth and production, the cultivation gutters are hung at the ideal distance from each other. During harvesting, space is created between the growing gutters for the harvesting staff and harvesting trolleys. With the swing system, this is done by alternately lowering or tightening the pulling cables at half of the cultivation gutters towards the centrally positioned motor gearbox and winding shaft. In this system, the winding shaft runs in the direction of the gutter. With the high/low system, half of the cultivation gutters are alternately raised and the other half lowered with cables. When the cultivation gutters are hanging low, harvesting can take place at the optimum height. The high/low system is driven by worm gearboxes and high-speed geared motors that drive winding shafts mounted in a trellis direction.
