All GW motor gearboxes are prepared for the installation of a potentiometer. De Gier supplies 10-turn potentiometers with a resistance value of your choice. The required resistance value of the potentiometer depends on the climate computer to which it is connected and must therefore be obtained from the supplier of this computer. The potentiometer can be supplied separately (NL in article code) or integrated if ordered from the motor gearbox.

The GW motor gearboxes can be extended with a potentiometer. A potentiometer provides the position of feedback from the powered system to the climate or control computer. All GW motor gearboxes are prepared for the integration of the potentiometer system. The potentiometer system consists of a 10-turn potentiometer with a resistance value of your choice and a gear set determined by the number of revolutions the GW motor gearbox output shaft must make to achieve the total stroke of the driven system. The required resistance value of the potentiometer depends on the climate computer to which it is connected. This required resistance value must therefore be specified by the supplier of the climate computer. A complete order for a potentiometer set always consists of two article lines: the potentiometer and the gear set. The potentiometer system can be supplied separately or it can be built in if ordered with the motor gearbox.
The articlenumbers P.PM.TWS.--- are suitable for a number of revolutions of the output shaft of the GW. This number is given in the table under the column stroke. To calculate the stroke you need for your system use the s and S of your rack and pinion system. The "s" stands for the amount of millimeters the rack moves per revolution of the input shaft. The "S" stands for the maximum stroke of the selected rack. The required stroke is calculated with Stroke=S⁄s.
Next, find the first value higher than 'Stroke' in the TW Sets table.
