General Information
As an alternative to the potentiometer, the GW motor gearbox can also be fitted with an encoder, De Gier I-DE (Intelligent Digital Encoder). All GW motor gearboxes are prepared for the installation of the I-DE.
The I-DE (Intelligent Digital Encoder) is a multifunctional position encoder that provides highly accurate information about the position of the GW motor gearbox driven system. This makes it possible to control climate even more precisely. Features of the I-DE:
- Fully electronic and insensitive to moisture, dirt and wear. This makes the I-DE very reliable compared to the potentiometer.
- The I-DE is equipped with digital and analogue outputs as standard. This makes the I-DE easy to connect to any device, process controller or climate computer.
- The I-DE can easily be installed in place of the conventional potentiometer.
