One of the essential elements in the development of our company and our products is innovation. A couple of months ago we participated in the Augmented Reality pilot that was developed by TNO, the Netherlands Organisation for applied scientific research.
Projecting instructions on our assembly tables enabled completely inexperienced employees to assemble our THG42RK gearbox without any trouble.
Yesterday our R&D Manager Chris van der Houwen shared his experiences with this pilot during the Teqnow Webinar: Faultless assembly of products due to virtual (AR) techniques.
One of the shared experiences of several users of the pilot is the game-like sensation it gives. This motivates people to work quick and flawless.
Chris van der Houwen: “Due to the pilot new and inexperienced employees immediately hit standard production levels. This allows for more efficient production because of a shorter training period."
Let’s Gear Up and innovate!
