De Gier Drive Systems Gears Up!

Cooperating to create the best drive solutions and to use these for international horticulture, intensive livestock farming, crop storage and non-residential facility projects; that’s what De Gier Drive Systems new theme “Let’s Gear Up” stands for.. De Gier has achieved a sharp increase in turnover and has undergone a huge transformation in recent years. De Gier is using its customer value survey as the basis for improvements and is proud to present the new De Gier: Let's Gear Up!

Huge transformation
De Gier's transformation started about three years ago. Managing Director Rob Sandberg: ”With the growing world population and the increasing focus on the use of Dutch agricultural solutions and applications abroad, we expect further growth in the coming years. We have therefore decided to invest in more floor space, better and more modern production equipment and brand new, ultra-modern assembly lines. We are also focusing strongly on the improvement of our logistics.”

Customer value
However, we are doing far more than improving our production and logistics. Sales and Marketing Director Wouter Heezen: “At the end of last year, we also decided to conduct a customer value survey. This showed that we scored well in terms of product quality, delivery reliability, response time to questions, warranty periods, service life, customer focus and relationships of trust. However, we did receive some straightforward feedback on our online and offline product information. We already knew that there was room for improvement in those areas.”

Let's Gear Up!
“To complete the transformation, we decided to put the De Gier brand on the map in a better and different way. We wanted to visualise things more and indicate the added value of our solutions. People appreciate our employees, our active contributions and our personal contact, so we wanted to give the brand a personal face. The brand image also had to match the quality of our products. Together with an excellent production system, excellent logistics, an improved website with product information at various levels and in different languages, we are fully prepared for the next step.
