GW motor gearboxes by De Gier have a unique and clever modular design. A three-stage gearbox reduces the high speed of an electric motor to a slower speed with a very high torque. Unlike comparable manufacturers, De Gier has opted to position the worm gear in the first stage in order to achieve the greatest reduction This makes GW motor gearboxes very compact and powerful and ensures excellent self-braking properties.
